L/INKED: A COLLABORATION BETWEEN ARTISTS, INSECTS & OAK GALLS
InDesign / Photoshop / Print
L/INKED was a gallery show that brought together artists from all over America to create collaborative art pieces by producing ink from local oak galls in their area. The pieces were then sent to other artists to add onto, displaying the difference in inks and coloring from around the country, due to differences in insects and climate.
As part of the publicity for the show, the curator, Patricia Miranda, wanted to create a catalog documenting each of the artists and their contribution to the gallery.
I designed this catalog in InDesign and Photoshop, collecting scans, photographs and quotes from each of the artists. I then printed 10 copies on archival paper and bound each together with natural twine. Below is the digital version, uploaded as part of the social media outreach.
